How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy. Simply click on the register button and fill out the requested information. Once completed, you will have your own US address to which you can begin having your packages delivered.

Why do you need my email address?

Once your package arrives, we will notify you via email. Other notifications will be sent to you as well, so its important that we have a correct email address to keep you in the know.

Why do you ask for my physical address?

The decision to provide your physical address is optional. We use the information for clients who want to have their packages delivered to their door. If you choose not to take advantage of the service, simply don’t fill that section out during your registration. You can always provide that information if you choose to use the service at a later date.

How long will it take to receive my packages?

We fly to the U.S. every 2-3 days so its safe to say you should receive your package within a week of us receiving it at our Florida Lakes location, once you would have provided us with the invoice for your package.

Why do you need my invoice BEFORE you ship my package?

A package cannot be released by Bahamas Customs without an invoice. We will notify you as soon as we receive your package advising if one was received or not. You can go online and upload your invoice to your account or email or call us to proceed.

How did you calculate the freight cost of my package?

There are two ways to determine the weight which calculates the freight cost - dimensional or actual. Dimensional weight is calculated by the measurement of a box. Actual weight is the number seen on the scale when the box is placed on it. We calculate the freight cost by using whichever is higher, multiplied by our per pound rate. This is industry standard.

Will there be any other fees?

All government fees, such as VAT and Customs Duty are applicable. LeAir Courier Service will charge additional fees where applicable as follows:

  • Hazmat Fee $10

  • Fragile Fee $10

  • Customs receipt request fee $10 (This needs to be requested prior to shipment received at our Florida Lakes facility)

  • Consolidation fees under 15lb is $10, 15lb up to 74.99lbs $15, 75lbs to 110lbs $20, over 110lbs to 150lbs is $25 and over 150lbs is $30

  • Insurance 1% on item costs inclusive of shipping and vendor tax. Items over 10lbs add $10

What is considered HAZMAT and why is there an additional fee for it?

Shipping is serious business!  So when something is labeled or known to be a HAZMAT item, it requires special care which carries an additional charge.

HAZMAT items are items labeled as follows:

Acidic; Caustic; Combustible Communicable; Compressed; Gas; Corrosive; Explosive;Flammable; Infectious;  Inflammable; Poison; Radioactive; Refrigerated; Toxic or Volatile.

They can be in any of the following items:

Air conditioning Equipment

Air Bags

Aerosols

Alcohol

Barometers

Batteries & UPSs

Blood

Chemical Waste

Cigarette Lighters

Cryogenic

Defoggers

Fertilizer

Fire Extinguishers

Liquor

Laboratory Equipment

Laboratory Samples

Nail Polish & Polish Remover (high volumes)

Refrigerator Equipment

Shocks

Some Cosmetics & Perfumes

Spray Cans

Shocks

Paint Thinner

Pesticides

Torches

Anything with Corrosive, Explosive or Flammable Ingredients

If any of those items are included in your package, you can expect to see a HAZMAT fee on your invoice.

Are you open on public holidays?

LeAir Couriers is closed to the public on all nationally recongized public holidays.

Can I collect my items from your U.S. location?

Yes you can! Simply call our U.S. office prior to your package delivery and we will hold it for collection.
